Terms of Service

Last updated: October 23, 2026 (version 2026-10-23). By buying or using TenureQR you agree to these terms.

Who we are. TenureQR is operated by the owner of the tenureqr.com website ("TenureQR", "we", "us"). Contact: support@tenureqr.com.

1. 10-year service commitment

For each paid ("permanent") code, we intend to keep its short link redirecting to the destination you set for at least 10 years from the date of purchase, with no further payment required. The commitment end date is shown next to each code in your dashboard. Keeping a paid code working never requires a recurring fee, and you may change its destination as often as you like during that period.

Sole and exclusive remedy. If a paid code is unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days for reasons within our reasonable control, you may request a refund of the price you paid for that code (for a 10-pack, the pro-rata share of the pack price per affected code). This refund is your sole and exclusive remedy, and our entire obligation, for any failure to meet this commitment.

What the commitment does not cover. Outages or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control are excluded, including failures of hosting providers, domain registrars or DNS services, internet or mobile networks, PayPal or other payment processors, email providers, power failures, cyberattacks, government action, natural disasters and similar events. Codes disabled under section 5 (Acceptable use) are also excluded.

If we stop operating. If we decide to discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email in advance and to provide an export (CSV) of your short links and destinations. We are not obligated to keep the service running, to transfer it to a successor, or to maintain redirects after the service ends; the refund remedy above still applies to codes affected within their commitment period.

2. Test before you print

You are responsible for testing every code (static or permanent) on several devices before printing, publishing or distributing it, and for checking that its destination is correct. We are not responsible for printing or distribution costs.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to buy or use paid codes. If you use TenureQR for a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

You log in with a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Payments & refunds

Prices are one-time, in US dollars, and paid through PayPal. You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase; see our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use policy

You may not use TenureQR codes or short links to point to, distribute or promote:

Destinations must use http or https. We automatically block some unsafe or private addresses and may check destinations against third-party safety lists. We may investigate reports, and may suspend or disable any code or account that we reasonably believe violates these terms or the law, at any time, without notice and without liability. A disabled code shows a neutral "This link has been disabled" page. Codes disabled for a violation are not eligible for a refund. Report abuse at tenureqr.com/report or abuse@tenureqr.com.

6. Your content & indemnity

You are solely responsible for the destinations you set and the content they lead to. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TenureQR and its owners from any claims, losses, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your destinations, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

7. Free static codes

Static codes are generated in your browser and contain your link directly. They do not use our servers.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Except for the commitment in section 1, the service, including free and paid codes, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including reprinting or replacement costs, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill or business interruption, even if advised of their possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to a code or the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected code in the 12 months before the claim, and in no event more than the total amount you have paid us.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, in which case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use means you accept them.

12. Trademarks

QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in Japan and in other countries. TenureQR is not affiliated with DENSO WAVE.

13. Copyright & DMCA takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Our designated contact for copyright notices is abuse@tenureqr.com. A notice must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  3. the TenureQR short link(s) or code(s) involved, with enough detail for us to find them;
  4. your name, address, phone number and email;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

On a valid notice we will promptly disable the affected code(s) and notify the code owner. A code owner who believes a code was disabled by mistake may send a counter-notice to the same address with the details required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g); we may restore the code in 10–14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action. We disable the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate. Trademark and other complaints can be sent to the same address and are handled the same way. Knowingly false notices may expose the sender to liability.
